Camino joined the World Bank Group in 2009, and has held several operational positions in the Latin America and Caribbean region before joining the Science of Delivery team. She has extensive operational experience in the design and implementation of lending and non-lending operations in the areas of Public Sector Reform and Governance, spanning regulatory reform, Justice System reform, public expenditure reviews, and citizen security. Later, as a member of the Central America Country Management Unit, she worked directly with country clients on operational issues, supported portfolio management and monitoring, and provided operational advice to World Bank teams. Prior to joining the World Bank, Camino worked as a corporate lawyer in Spanish and international firms Garrigues and Hogan-Lovells, later joining the Permanent Observer Mission of Spain to the Organization of American States and the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of Spain. Camino holds a JD in Law and a BS in Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia Comillas - ICADE in Madrid, and an MSc in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.
At the Science of Delivery Unit in the World Bank, Camino’s work involves engaging with Global Practices and Regions to mainstream Science of Delivery in operations, managing partnerships with other development organizations, and leading training and knowledge sharing activities.
