On Thursday 17 November, the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) and Harvard University will bring together practitioners from the Doing Development Differently community for an interactive workshop in London. The workshop aims to take stock, two years on from the inaugural Doing Development Differently event. It will focus on how donors, other development organisations and governments too have sought to embed these ideas, and to take forward more adaptive development.
Crucially, it will look beyond a focus on individual case studies to understand how the principles of Doing Development Differently can and have been implemented within the ways of working for these organisations – from their internal rules and processes to people management, leadership cultures and more. It will end with a forward look – identifying some key lessons and practical ways for taking forward this agenda.
