Izumi Ohno is Director of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Research Institute. She specializes in international development policy, Japanese development cooperation, business and development. Prior to joining the JICA Research Institute in October 2018, she was Professor of the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), and she continues to serve as a visiting professor of GRIPS. Previously, Ms. Ohno also worked at the World Bank, the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), and the JICA.
Over the past years, Ms. Ohno was engaged in a number of advisory committees in the areas of international development, economic cooperation, inclusive business, and so on. In 2014, she served as a member of the Advisory Panel to the Minister of Foreign Affairs on the ODA Charter Review. Ms. Ohno graduated from the Tsuda College (Tokyo), and holds a MPA from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at the Princeton University in USA.
