Dr. GONG Sen is the Executive Vice-President (Director-General) of Centre for International Knowledge on Development and Research Fellow of the Development Research Centre of the State Council (DRC). He studied at Beijing Normal University in China as well as at Bath University and the University of Sheffield in Britain. Before joining DRC in 2012, he worked at the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security for policy studies as well as for policy supervision. Currently he is also one of the advisory team to the Ministry of Human and Social Security, to the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and also a member of the UN Committee of Development Policy. He has published a few dozens of articles in domestic as well as foreign journals. He has also published 5 books together with his colleagues. His research interests include social security, health care, employment, social governance, public administration as well as development regimes and sustainable development.
