Mr. Munevar joined UNOPS in October 2008, heading the UNOPS Haiti country program for five years. During this period he led UNOPS project operations before, during, and after the devastating 2010 earthquake, including leading the delivery of key reconstruction initiatives across sectors. Since 2013 he heads the UNOPS Washington Office, and is currently responsible for UNOPS partnerships with the World Bank and the US Government (including USAID, the Millennium Challenge Corporation, and the Department of State) world-wide. In this role, he is spearheading within UNOPS strategic solutions to delivery challenges with a focus on project management, infrastructure, procurement, and organizational capacity development. Mr. Munevar has worked with the UN for the last thirteen years, including with UNDP in Brussels where he managed the global portfolio of projects financed by the European Commission. Mr Munevar holds a BA and MA in International Affairs and Politics from the Université Libre de Bruxelles in Belgium. He is fluent in Spanish, English, and French.
